Older Drivers Face New Pressure as Debate Grows Over Potential Driving Restrictions After Age 80

Calls for tougher regulations on senior drivers are growing, and new proposals suggest that people over 80 should be completely prohibited from driving.

According to the study, which polled 2,000 people in January 2026 survey, younger people are especially in favor of these limitations. According to an analysis of the data, 53% of Gen Z (18โ€“29) and Millennials (30โ€“45) would support a complete prohibition on drivers over 80.
