You might think that spring’s colours are going to be 50 shades of sheer pink and cream because of the 2026 nail trends that are bringing in a lot of barely-there, hypernatural manicures. There is some of that, but we’re also happy to say that both modern and classic spring nail colours are coming back. Our social media feeds are full of bright tulip-like colours, mint and leaf-green French tips, and even some “digital” blues. Techy, futuristic colours like steely blues were also predicted to be popular this year, and it looks like spring is when people will really start asking for them.

There is a spring manicure for everyone, whether you like classic pastels that look like ice cream, simple designs, or more unique, bright nails. And we’ve found 12 choices that seem especially stylish and new for the next few months.

January seems to last forever, but our manicure budgets don’t, so we’ll be painting our own nails with these classy winter colours for the time being. Here are 12 stylish spring nail ideas to ask for this season.

Spring is a time for us to have fun and be creative with our nails, from pink French tips to butter yellow nails. You can wear colours you might not have tried before, but because they are mostly pastel, your nails can stay simple and look more approachable than a bright summer look.

Every year, there is a new take on the classic spring colour scheme. For example, “Lavender Milk” and fruity colours became very popular and in high demand in 2025, along with soft cherry blossom nails and bright marine nails. This year looks like it will follow suit, with the addition of stylish misty cool-toned blues, as well as creamy yellows, blurred finishes, and some bright, tulip-inspired looks.

That being said, very natural and milky nail polishes also seem to fit the season (and are just as fashionable), so anything goes. But if you need some ideas we’ve put together a list of 12 looks we’ve seen out and about or think we’ll see soon.

Our must-have nail items for spring

We’ve also shared three stylish must-have colours to help you get started on your spring nails at home. One of these colours was also one of the beauty team’s picks for March nails.

12 Stylish Spring Nail Ideas

  1. 1. Nails that are soft and misty blueThis season, cool misty and steely blues are going to be very popular. We love how this icy pastel style looks with neat short nails. This colour feels new and modern, unlike the classic sky-like colour that comes out at this time of year. If you’ve been wearing white, cream, and sheer pink nail polish this year, this colour seems like the perfect next step.
  2. 2. Lavender nails with a milky finishLast year, milky lavender nails were very popular in the spring, and we think the same will happen in the spring of 2026, with tinted builder gels and custom blends also becoming popular. This kind of sheer purple is so easy to wear and not too flashy, but it’s still perfect for spring.
  3. 3. French tips with leavesOne of the easiest ways to add a splash of spring colour to your nails is to get a French tip. You don’t have to fully commit to a very bright pastel colour or a colour you don’t usually wear. We think this leafy green looks great against the light pink base colour.
  4. 4. Polka dots in the springThis year, polka dot nails are very popular. They were made to go with the bright and pastel colours of spring. You can mix and match however you like. A yellow polka dot pattern on a pink base or a brown base with blue dots are both great options for spring nails.
  5. 5. Nails that are butter yellowFor spring, butter yellow nails are always a great choice. They are fun and playful, but they are also very similar to a cream manicure, so they are still easy to wear and versatile.
  6. 6. Nails that are sky blueSky blue is one of those timeless stylish colours that always seems right for spring. Because why wouldn’t you want to honour the long-awaited blue-sky days with your new season manicure?
  7. 7. Nails that look like cappuccinoIf you don’t like pastels, soft cappuccino nails have also been very popular in the last few weeks, and for good reason the colour is soft and muted. This makes it perfect for a winter-to-spring nail look or for a fancy neutral every day.
  8. 8. Nails with shellsA shell-like cream is also a great choice for spring, just like butter and lemon yellow. It has a soft subtle feel, but it’s still a little different from more classic milky pinks and whites.
  9. 9. Red nails that look like tulipsWe love that tulips come in the spring. A bright red manicure, like the one above, is the perfect way to welcome the first flowers of the season.
  10. 10. Nails that are blurryUltra-natural nails will be a big trend this year. Last year, Manucurist’s Active Glow was the best way to get this look, but the brand just released Active Blur in time for spring. The polish has a matte finish that looks and feels like velvet.
  11. 11. Pink nails that are see-throughIf you’re not sure what to do, go with a soft and always useful sheer pink manicure. It goes with everything and fits in perfectly with the trees blooming in the spring and so on.
  12. 12. French tips in classic pastel colours

Pastel French tip nails are always a classic and safe look for spring, whether they are butter yellow or cherry blossom pink. You can make them as subtle or as bold as you want, and you can change the design to fit any nail shape or length.
