6 Best Lancome Mascaras, Tried, Tested and Reviewed

I’m in a unique position to write about the top new beauty launches every month as a beauty editor with ten years of experience writing about beauty and testing beauty products for a living. I firmly believe that some of the best products come from heritage beauty brands that have endured over time, even though it’s always exciting to try new innovations and beauty brands. In addition, I would contend that Lancôme’s mascaras are among the greatest ever.

I used to frequently visit the Lancôme beauty counter to select a new mascara before I began working in the beauty industry. In between Juicy Tube top-ups (IYKYK), I progressively bought my way through every Lancôme mascara available, from Hypnôse to Définicils. I still adore them, just as I did back then. Since then, Lancôme has introduced additional mascaras that are worthy of a place in your makeup bag, in addition to these timeless beauty hall icons. Consider Lash Id¢, which many of my coworkers refer to as their all-time favourite high-end mascara. Even those of us with the most sensitive eyes consider these to be the best mascaras for people who wear contact lenses or have sensitive eyes.

The Greatest Lancôme Mascaras, Tried & Tested

Lancôme Hypnôse Custom Wear Volumising Mascara is the best buildable mascara; Lancôme Définicils High Definition Mascara is the best natural-looking mascara; Lancôme Lash Id¢ Flutter Mascara is the best lengthening mascara; and Lancôme Lash Id¢ Curl Goddess Mascara is the best curling mascara.

1. Lancôme Lash Id à Mascara

Editor’s review Although it’s difficult to choose a favourite among Lancôme’s mascaras, I have to go with the Lash Idête Mascara. Its silky, lightweight, and tactile formula effortlessly lengthens curls, lifts, and defines every single lash with its flexible curved wand. A lash lift can be achieved with just one coat, but a more dramatic effect without any clumping is possible with two coats Although it’s not the most volumising mascara available, you’ll adore it if you want your lashes to appear naturally defined.

2. Lancôme Hypnôse Drama Mascara

Editor review Hypnôse Drama Mascara is the more dramatic sibling of the original Hypnôse formula. The bristles on this large curved S-shaped wand have deep reservoirs that fill up with volume as you run it through your lashes. A few swipes can give you a volumised wide-eyed appearance that could lead to false accusations Every lash is plumped up, and it also produces amazing curl and length. Scroll on, fans of mascara that looks natural!

3. The Best Lengthening Mascara

Editor’s review This mascara is among my top three favourites. For my daily mascara, I prefer a long fluttery effect that still looks natural, and this magic wand fits the bill. Thanks to the 480 short micro bristles that fully extend each lash, the wand is flexible but not extremely bendy, providing just enough resistance to push and lift the lashes up while delivering amazing length The end product is a flutter that looks natural and works well as a regular mascara look.

4. Lancôme Lash Id¹ Curl Goddess Mascara

Editor review If you’re looking for curl and long-lasting hold Lancôme’s new Lash Id¢ Curl Goddess Mascara is perfect for you. This formula keeps my stubbornly straight lashes from falling by the afternoon until I come to remove them in the evening. It does a fantastic job of volumising and lengthening lashes as well as curling and lifting them upward with its large curved wand. Additionally, I was taken aback by how light this mascara felt on my eyes. My only complaint is that the wand is fairly large, so you should be careful not to get the product on your lids if you have smaller or hooded eyes.

5. Lancôme Hypnôse Custom Wear Volumising

Editor’s review Lancôme’s most famous mascara recipe, Hypnôse, is still as good today as it was when it first came out in 2004. Why is it so excellent? It’s very adaptable. You can get defined, gorgeously volumised lashes with just one coat, but you can add more layers for even more intensity without any clumping. It provides length definition volume, and curl all at once, making it an excellent all-arounder Throughout the day, you can even apply another layer of dry mascara, and it never gets spidery. Your lashes will remain fluttery and defined at all times.

6. High Definition Lancôme Définicils Mascara

Lancôme Définicils High Definition Mascara £30 SHOP NOW Editor review: Although I don’t currently own a tube of Définicils, I can attest to having purchased several tubes of this product on a regular basis for years before I became a beauty editor. And even now, it’s still one of my favourite mascaras from Lancôme. Each lash is gently defined, separated, and lengthened by the long slightly tapered wand, giving the appearance of natural lashes. It applies precisely the right amount of product to the lashes, enabling you to progressively build up to the look you want.
