Bachik used two colours to give the manicure depth. He started with one coat of Aprés Nails in Serengeti Plains, a chocolate-brown gel polish. After the polish dried, Bachik rubbed a mix of Chanel’s Huile de Jasmin (a face oil) and Le Lift La Crème Main (a hand cream) into Gomez’s nails and hands. The extra moisture gave the nails a healthy, shiny finish, showing that skin care is just as important as polish for getting shine.
